Redefining and Living Words in the Classroom

Although I regularly get up in the morning and pick a word a word to express for that day, I have yet to expand my living-word vocabulary beyond 5 or six words. Let’s see, there’s joyful, joyfully interacting, excitedly engaged, interested and maybe one or two that just aren’t coming to me at this moment. Or perhaps it’s just four words and in looking at these words, I notice they’re pretty closely related, meaning there’s not much difference in how I actually live these words, i.e., their definitions are all grouped within my idea of joyful expression.

There is also the word, care, which I guess I have in word and deed embodied as a part of me or signature of who I am, how I relate to others, wherein it’s no longer required for me to constantly remind myself be caring. I have become that word and I am and I really thankful that I chose this word as my first word to embrace, understand and live as a doing in relation to people, animals that things.

So I guess it’s now time to expand my living word vocabulary. The only problem is, I’m not really an expert at redefining and living words. Furthermore, I’m not even that  motivated to do so. My solution (considering the position I’m filling in the world system), if you’re not really sure about how something works and you want to motivate yourself to be better at it, why not teach it others and learn it together? Thus begins my journey to teach while I learn, specifying myself while expanding my living-word vocabulary for the purpose of seeing, realizing and understanding my potential.

As I’ve said to myself many times before, I’m not here to redesign the wheel. It’s already been done and if there is a better design to be created, there are others out there who are probably in a better position to do so. Or maybe I will come up with some suggestions on how to streamline the process. Either way, I’m thankful there are already solutions, examples and lessons on redefining and living words which are available on the internet at SOUL, the School Of Ultimate Living on Facebook, Youtube and a soon to be created Homepage on the Web. Now, it’s simply a matter of deciding how to proceed in the classroom, introducing the process, teaching and learning while I teach. This where some experimentation comes in.

In the first week’s lesson (two weeks ago), “How do we create ourselves and our reality?” I talked about how we create ourselves and our reality as the words we think, speak and write. Then we watched the first twenty-five minutes of Introduction to the School of Ultimate Living. Then in the second hour of class, we all wrote blogs on the topic of What is the meaning of Life and What is my Purpose? Originally, I had only planned to do this with three of my classes. However, since students seemed more interested than usual (lol), I ended up expanding the lesson to six different classes during the week.

In the second week, last week I decided to present students with some scientific background in relation to the importance of words. Even though the Bible says, in the beginning was the word and the word was god (or something like that) and the Koran says in the beginning was the word and the word was creation (or something like that), I still felt that it was useful/important for me to also present students with a scientific basis for going into this topic. Thus for the second week of lessons, I explained my interpretation of the discovery that Russian scientists have made in relation to words and DNA. Then we read some of an article titled, Scientists Prove DNA Can Be Reprogrammed by Words and Frequencies. After discussing the article, I asked students to do the following:
In pairs:
  1. Choose one word that you would like to be more a part of your living. For example, if you often find yourself getting impatient with others, perhaps you could choose the word, patience. Or if you often find yourself feeling disinterested, you might choose the word interested or engaged.
  2. Use your smartphones to define the words and then add sentences to the definitions to fit into your life, friends, relations, etc.
  3. Note! Be as specific as possible in describing how you plan to live these words.
  4. Share your results in groups and with the class

Next week, I plan on watching another SOUL video. I’m not sure yet which one I’ll use; however, in consideration of attention spans, I’ll probably choose one that is not more than around sixteen minutes. Then after discussing the video, we will write blogs expanding on the words we’ve chosen. Specifically, in the introduction or first paragraph, we will look at and explain how we often experiences ourselves other than how we would like to be and then how each we would prefer to experience ourselves. Then in the next one or two paragraphs, I will ask the students to present their redefined word or words and specify how they plan to live and express that in relation to others for a whole week starting with sounding that word when they wake up each day.

Interestingly, even though very few of my students bring laptop computers to class, we still hardly ever use any paper. These days, instead of opposing the smartphone in the classroom, I embrace it as a useful tool (but not for playing video games in the classroom, lol) and students seem to enjoy writing so much more when they’re holding onto their smart phones.

So this is my plan so far for introducing students to redefining and living words as a way not only to create themselves, but also to practice English and become better writers in the process. Overall, I would say it’s a win win situation/process for all involved. Plus, whenever students write and post blogs in the classroom, I also write and post as an example.

Day 60: Pieces of what's inside of me

It has been said in different ways and I agree: stop hoping, let go of everything, become self-honest, live within and as what is best for all – give unto others what you would have given, and so forth. There is nothing new about such advise, and as always it is still easier said than done. Not surprisingly, I am still finding this to be the case in thought, word and in deed. I wouldn't say that things are getting easier for me, just a bit more understandingly controllable, which for me is quite preferable to a total lack of control. On the other-hand the more I realize how the system function, the more frustrating it becomes to watch as piece by piece we as humanity march ourselves and everything else into the fires – manifesting as consequence of our past self-interest / carelessness. The mind consciousness system is an amazing system that traps the host into its very own self-substantiated virtual reality prison cell – the mind. It's fascinating because there are no bars, and the force exerted is apparently energy created entirely of our own acceptances and allowances. In other words, we decide within/as each breath to remain in the cell, participating in our own energy created illusions, or step out of the cell/mind and participate within/as what is physically here. The design of the system is such that it has become consciously aware of its-self, which as a system is like us on autopilot, organic robots. And the mind consciousness system (as a part of us as energy derived from our physical substance) understands that it requires us to participate in the illusion for it to continue existing. Thus the mind consciousness system will do everything in its power (which of course is limited to that which we give it through our participation) to lure us back into into the trap, the mine field. So as to the question of why there is so much deception in this world: it's because just as our (internal) mind is mirror of our beingness, so too is the (external) mind / world-system a mirror of our beingness; what else would it be, there's no one else here.

On the issue of “Give unto others that which I would like to receive” I've realized a point within which I haven't been walking completely self honestly. It regards relationships; specifically, calling people back after I’ve missed their calls – which I rarely get these days. Quite often over the last 5-7 years I've seen that someone has called me, and instead of returning the call right away I would put it off until I felt like calling back. I usually justified this with, I'm just too busy or involved with what I’m doing to risk being sidetracked by this call, so I’ll call back later. Honestly, (and I’ve said this before) I've rarely been very particular about the kinds of people I associated with – in terms of judging them as good/bad, smart/stupid, etc. If the person liked to party, that was good enough for me. Then when I began to see an opportunity for me/us to make a difference/change to ourselves and this world, I was certain that others – those I called friends would be interested. Instead, for the most part I told by many, in no uncertain terms that my new found information was unwelcome in the conversation, that I had become obsessed, and that which I see as research was/is just part of a cult in the process of brainwashing me. It's been probably about 5 or more years, enough research to write 2-3 theses on, and I’ve barely even touched the surface of what as the design and nature of existence is now (as I view it) in the process of unveiling or being unveiled. I'm sure that I’m welcome back into the relationship circles anytime; I never found them to be very judgmental towards me either. Yet to go back would mean (for me) a return to ignorance and or silence – ignorance of what is here as us and our responsibility to change the world to a place that values all life equally and or silence of not speaking of what is here and our responsibility to change. I'm not certain that this task/doing will be done in this lifetime, yet I am certain that I will continue until it is done. Then we'll see.

What message to send in the days of Revelations – at least for me they are. Who will even will themselves to hear, let alone see and take responsibility? The Economy: There is little I may say that hasn't been said by others more knowledgeable than I of Life eclipsed by an economy that has never been Eco nor even in the least concerned for you or me. We stand at the precipitous or edge of steep drop of our own making with only ourselves to thank for the opportunity to see who we really are, the nature of our beingness, the nature of you and me. I don't see it so much as being about saving ourselves as who/what we've come to be, why would anyone want to do that; changing ourselves – yes, but definitely not saving. In other words, for me as I see it there is only one option – self change. Here's a message: “Warning! Imminent catastrophic system failure! Self destruct sequence initiated – a long long time ago, Abandon ship”; or how about, “Come on now Sweet pea, it's time to wake up, we're killing ourselves and everything else.” As I've stated repeatedly, the collapse of the world money system is already underway, and it's interesting how people such as Alex Jones continue blame what is happening on someone else, feeding the audience what they want to hear instead of what they need hear/realize so as to take responsibility, embrace equality and change. Everyone gets angry when their privileged financial status is taken away from them, yet few seem to mind when it happens to others. All around us, nature, the animal kingdom, the sun, and the sea, have always only given to us that we may one day see that we are all interconnected as one. Yet we as human beings have done nothing but take, take, and take. It's phenomenal (a testament to the nature of our beingness) that we still refuse to see that we are the sea of life and within this seaing, stop and change ourselves to value all life equally.

  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to become frustrated at my perception of the events taking place in the world, and within this not realize that the frustration is not due to the events taking place in the world but at myself for the relationships I have formed within and as my mind projection of myself within the world-system and my perceived lack of progress in changing my relationship towards all, from that of energy to physicality.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to view the phone-calls of others from a perspective of whether or not I wanted to communicate and within this not take responsibility to be there to assist others, just in case. Within this I see/realize and understand that communicating with others is an opportunity for me to give unto others, as well as receive. Thus I commit myself to (when I recognize a number on my phone) return the call within a reasonable amount of time, and not just when it suits me.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to judge my return to the relationship circles I once knew, to be a return to ignorance and or silence, and within this not see that my relationships were not based on ignorance and or silence but on the support I felt they provided me.

Day 48: Teaching Children

I wrote before about my starting to work at another school. I'm teaching English, Math and Science (in English) to first and third graders. It's cool, I finally have an audience that listens to me – sometimes. In other words, along with their regular programming which I do not obligate myself to input into them, I present “a perspective” of the whole – at least the part/parts that I see.   I did once find myself pushing the curriculum on a group of first graders and becoming upset when they continued to ignore me, but that won't happen again – meaning I won't become upset again because I’m not going to “push” that stuff into them. It's not that it's all wrong – scientists do ask and answer questions and study the world around them. What's not mentioned however is that scientists sometimes start with the “answer” and then formulate the questions to reach those answers; stopping there and reporting then their findings as though a definitive conclusion has been reached, when in reality they have simply limited their view of the world around them - to that which produce the most profit. How much of this will I be able to get across to first and third graders, I'll find out, and in doing so I'm going to make sure that enjoyment and self expression take precedence over memorization. For some time now, I've been trying to reach adults – including myself, and get them to consider a view of the world in terms of all of it being equal and one within/as each of us. I am not certain as to how much if anything that I've said has been absorbed by those that I've spoken with. However what I will say is that very little to nothing of what I say has come back to me from the mouths of those adult listeners. Thus, perhaps it is time let go of the adults and instead focus on assisting the children, and have fun in the process. Teaching children is probably one of most important. Yet it is also one of the most underrated jobs in this world - another consequence of everything being in reverse.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to see it as cool to finally have an audience that listens or doesn't listen to me, and within this I forgive myself that I've accepted and allowed myself to desire an audience – one or more that listens to what I say, that I may convey information and knowledge and convert them to my side of the debate. Within this, I see/realize and understand that my desire to have a “captive” audience is me as ego seeking support as confirmation of my worth/value/standing in the system. Thus I commit myself to speak/teach from a perspective of participation in which all in the group have an equal opportunity to (in English) voice themselves, be listened to and participate in the direction of the discussion/topic/game/...
  • I forgive myself that I have at times accepted and allowed myself to push an academic program as it is sequenced in a book, instead of adapting it to a standard that is best for all – as in participating in the opportunities to express self within a group. In this I commit myself to expand on the programs' perspectives so as to include balancing views so as to avoid programming the viewer to the limitations of a lopsided system perspective.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to become agitated when it became clear to me that most of the students were ignoring me. Within this I see/realize and understand that if I am being ignored it is because I am not participating/expressing in a manner in which students care to participate, and or I am presenting information that students see as uninteresting. Thus I commit myself to monitor the students' participation and feedback so as to be certain that I am facilitating the self-expression of children.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to become agitated when students do not respond or pay attention to that which I am attempting to input/convey. Within this I see/realize and understand that children have a right as life to decide what they allow to be imprinted on and into their physical / inter-dimensional minds. Thus I commit myself to present information and knowledge in a manner that facilitates children's understanding that they are in control and thus decide who and what they will be.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to be critical of school administrators and within this not see that in a sense the higher one moves up in the echelons of the education system, the more difficult it becomes to maneuver within the system. Within this I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to blame administrators for not supporting children's rights to joyfully express themselves as life. I see/realize and understand that in many cases the best thing thing for an administrator to do is to insure that the students' primary teachers will direct themselves with common sense, realizing that the only value is life, and in this - prioritizing/safeguarding all children's right to express themselves as life. Within this I commit myself to practice what I have learned in regards to teaching children, i.e., the only value is life.

Day 46: The communicator

I have decided to write a follow up on the subject of “communication.” The reason for this is that over the last 5-6 years, in trying to communicate with others, on the subject of existence: the relationship/s between the mind / energy,  and substance / the physical, I have (to be honest) had very little success. When I say “success” I'm not saying it from a point of judging myself; I'm saying it from a point of observation in terms of seeing / not seeing others follow up on these topics. However, this morning while talking to the same person that I speak with almost every Saturday morning in the park, I herd him say several times that he understood what I was saying. The only thing different that I see that may have contributed to my conveying this information is the self-forgiveness on Communication that I did last night. I've tested self-forgiveness before, and it assisted me a lot.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to judge others to be resentful/angry at my persistence in trying to get them to hear and explore that which I am trying to convey, and within this I forgive myself that I have not allowed myself to realize that my judgments of them are of a point within/as me that is insecure about what I am saying, fearful that I may be seen as a “religious” fanatic. Thus I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to fear that others will view me as a religious fanatic out to propagate his beliefs, and within this I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to judge others as being trapped or lost in their beliefs, without seeing that when I convey an idea/thought, I too am conveying a belief.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to judge others as being religious fanatics – pawns of a system of enslavement, and within this not see/realize and understand that within the current system all are pawns until all are equal.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see that to communicate as an expression of life – equal and one with my words, is to let go of the preemptive thoughts of the mind that entwine the sentences with self-interested symbolism/code, thus to communicate self-honestly through the physical, only that which I am living – my living words.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to desire that others understand that which I am trying to convey, and within this not see/realize and understand that my words need not be understood by all, just aligned to what is best for all.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to “try” to convey ideas, thoughts and pictures, instead of simply standing equal and one with what is here and expressing my standing in regards to a subject – as who I am as that subject.
  • I forgive myself that I have not accepted and allowed myself to see/realize and understand that I as life in/as the physical am the creator/communicator: the words come from life/physical, thus the words are living. Within this I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not trust me in/as the physical to communicate, convey the expression of life as the words I am living.
  • I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that the end result of my communication process is the consequence outflows created by the words created by me. Within this I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to abuse words by throwing-out / speaking and writing them without considering the consequences they may create.
Self Commitment statements
  • I commit myself to not accept and allow myself to judge others' interpretation of my communication, and instead to see/realize the impact / outflows that my words create, so that I may modify them as necessary to stay aligned or realign them to what is best for all.
  • I commit myself to not accept and allow myself to fear what others think of me, and within this to stay true to my self-directive of self honestly expressing me within and as that which is best for all in equality and oneness.
  • I commit myself to not accept and allow myself to attempt to convey/communicate that which I am not living as a statement of who I am as life; thus I insure that my communication/conveyance is an expression of who I am as life – not subject to the strings of self-interest.
  • I commit myself to not accept and allow myself to judge others as being trapped in their beliefs, and instead to communicate to them by expressing myself as a living example of that which I am becoming.
  • I commit myself to at the moment of speaking or writing, be sure that my words will stand as what is best for all, and in doing so take responsibility to cure/correct the outflows of the words I have created in self-interest.
  • I commit myself to no longer accept and allow myself as mind to co opt the communication process, as I see/realize and understand that I as mind has yet to completely realize my equality and oneness, and therefore I as the physical as source of the words am best suited – as the character of life, to speak and communicate to all as me.
